Spoiled Medicine

Hi,

It has been a while that this blog of mine ...not updated!! sorry for that...

But thanks to the followers...you kept me going, so I want to continue blogging on behalf of Klinik Cahaya and my life..Thank you...not so much of my life for now....

Topic for this time is preventing your medicine from damages while keeping them at home

Yes i know probably topics in this blog can be quite boring but my intention is to give and share whatever good information that i know to you... in keeping with good health..

By the way.........Gong Xi Fa Chai for our chinese friends and let the new year ahead be a prosperous one to all of you and you..........................as healthy as an ox...

OK...simple truth is medicine can get spoiled easily, by extreme heat, sunlight and humidity.

Tips no 1

Most of medicine must be stored in a room temperature below 30 degrees. Watch out your house room temperature. If your house is airconditioned every daytime, then it should not be a problem. If not, especially if your house is a double storey house without hot air ventilation and not airconditioned at noon, the medicine that you store in your bedroom upstairs probably next to your bed might be destroyed by afternoon heat. Usually the upper storey is hotter than the lower one as the hot air always travels up.

Yes we know that keeping it near us in bed especially the vitamins, contraceptive pills or the anticholesterol pills, is very convenient but taking spoiled medicine can be hazardous to our health instead. So keep them at lower ground or in your fridge as some people have a mini fridge in their bedroom.

In short, heat can destroy our medicine and we should keep them at the temperature below 30 degrees. Having said that, leaving your medicine in your car that you park under direct sun at noon during your lunch break is not a good idea also.

Tips no 2

Do not keep your medicine in bathroom medicine cabinet. Maybe this is more common in the western countries because they do have a small cabinet behind the face mirrors. Why? Because the air in the bathroom is too humid...not good for the medicine. Mold and fungus can grow on the them in such environment. So what about the fridge? Yes we have to control the humidity of our fridge as well. If you are not too sure about how safe or how humid your fridge is, then do not store them there.

Tips no 3

Keep your medicine or vitamins in their original bottles. This is important because the bottles that is usually used are amber glass bottle is the best protection for your medicines against sunlight.

So extreme temperature, exposure to sunlight and humid environment does no good to your pills.

Below is a typical way of some of us put their medicine or vitamins.
Near our bed ...of course.

Those are part of my medicine and vitamins...Recognize them?

My bedroom is on the lower ground so it is okay for me to do that...he..he..
Bye for now..
Eat in moderation during this festive season...
Tighten our ties with others that we call them friends and the special one.
